Burglary - Shaftesbury Avenue |
||
|
Good afternoon,
Last night, just before midnight, we received a call from a resident on Shaftesbury Avenue, reporting a burglary in progress.
The victim was awoken at around 23:45 to a loud crashing sound coming from downstairs. The victim went to investigate, and saw the suspect leaving the property via the back door. The suspect left via the back street between Shaftesbury Avenue and Rosehill Road.
It is believed that the suspect gained entry to the property by utilising a wheelie bin to climb through an open bathroom window. It is believed that both front and back door to the property had been locked before the victim went to bed.
The suspect is described as a white male, wearing dark clothing.
Please ensure all doors and windows are locked when not present/supervising the property, or when going to sleep. Unfortunately, such as in this instance, some people will take the slightest opportunity presented to them.
If you have any information or CCTV that may be able to help in our investigation, please reply to this alert.
Thank you Burnley NPT | ||
